Lookup

Lookup is a publicly available interactive searching program Jeffrey wrote primarily to allow him to access edict and kanjidic quickly and concisely, though it should be quite useful for searching any line-based text file (it's been used to quickly search huge C programs, English word-lists, and even e-mail archives). It features a rich and powerful flavor of regular expression search with support for Japanese text. News: There's now a new set of unofficial patches available for lookup, which can also be found at ftp.cc.monash.edu.au or at the Unofficial Patch Page These patches bring together some important bug fixes to compile and function under modern versions of Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD and MAC OSX.
